Many people know I’m a gym rat. I’ve been weightlifting for over 10 years, and most recently, I have been learning to box. If you’ve ever embarked on a new sport of fitness routine, you know that it takes a lot more than physical strength—it takes tenacity and mental toughness. In the same way, I love to flex my mental muscles as well. I’m a critical thinker, a web designer in progress, an aspiring copywriter and, most importantly, a passionate designer.
I believe in living life all or nothing. I’m careful to only commit to things that I truly care about and I’m passionate about a few special things in my life: friends and family, fitness, faith, hard work, continual learning and most importantly to you, great design.
I believe that design should be effective, efficient and affordable. I believe that form should always support function, and I believe that no project is too small to be executed well. I believe that a truly beautiful design is well-planned, clear, concise and true to a client’s brand. Most importantly, I believe that I have a great responsibility to my client to create a piece that not only looks incredible, but performs extraordinarily.
Great design and great business are my passions—and for the past seven years, I’ve been providing this to designers in the valley and beyond.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Grand Valley State University in 2002 and have been hitting design hard ever since. Straight out of design school I was hired as the sole designer at a local non-profit, handling anything and everything related to design and marketing. In my free time I did contract design for a local designer. Two years later, I made the decision to move out to the valley. Upon arrival, I began working for a direct mail and printing company in South Phoenix. Simultaneously, I was gaining my own set of freelance clients who I tended to in my off hours. Over the next five years, I came to realize that nearly three-quarters of my freelance income was from contract design work for small creative companies in Scottsdale and the Metro Phoenix area. With this realization, my contract design business was born.
These past years of experience have left me uniquely qualified for contract design. My years of serving my freelance clients have left me with a solid understanding of what it takes to leave my contract design clients (and their clients) satisfied and profitable. When I am hired for a project, I understand that the livelihood of your business depends on my professionalism, efficiency and integrity. My experience in the printing industry has left me with a production-minded creativity that provides real design solutions for everyday clients. It also means your project will be properly designed to get thru production without a hassle.
My communication and organizational skills are exceptional. I'm highly efficient and extremely affordable. Most importantly, I’m a dependable source for on-call design help. No job is too small.
